New Horizon Welcomes New Provider

New Horizon Family Dental Care is pleased to welcome Gerald Johnson, DMD to the team. Originally from Hopkins, SC, Dr. Johnson received his BS in Biology from Benedict College before attending Hampton Institute to obtain his master’s degree. He then earned his DMD from the MUSC College of Dental Medicine.
 
Dr. Johnson is deeply rooted in the mission and values of community health and has a heartfelt desire to provide the best of care to those who are underserved. Prior to joining New Horizon, Dr. Johnson practiced at Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (BJHCHS) and spent some time teaching at MUSC. While at MUSC, he was integral in establishing the mobile dental clinic servicing the Title One schools in Charleston as well as providing outreach throughout the Lowcountry area.
 
Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly playing golf and swimming. We are excited for him to join our team!
