ANDERSON, S.C.,– Foothills Community Health Care is pleased to announce that its new health center location on Pearman Dairy Road hosted a grand opening on April 8, 2025. The existing Anderson location on 1100 W. Franklin Street has closed its doors, and patients will begin to visit the new office as of April 1, 2025.

“We are excited to officially welcome our staff, patients, and esteemed guests to our new site,” said Mark Rajkowski, Chief Executive Officer of Foothills Community Health Care. “Our grand opening event on April 8 will allow us to show guests the new site and reaffirm the importance of supporting your local community health centers. With the new location, we can also introduce a whole new slate of services, included expanded pediatric care and, in the future, dental services. It’s a very exciting time of growth for our health center.”

The grand opening took place on the morning of April 8, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event began with a ribbon cutting and press conference at 10 a.m., followed by guided tours for VIP guests and media members. The event was then opened to the public between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. as Foothills Community Health Care staff gave tours, met the community, and answered questions. Media members were welcome to attend the event at any time.

Foothills Community Health Care partnered with Trehel Construction and Forma Health Design Collaborative to repurpose space in the Lakeside Shopping Center. Its new location will offer not only their existing medical services, including family medicine, women’s health, physicals, immunizations, lab services, a pharmacy, and more but will also introduce a designated pediatric care space. Students from Southwood School of the Arts painted murals for the pediatric rooms to provide a welcoming, comforting space for young patients, while a pediatrician has also joined the medical staff full-time.

Foothills Community Health Care is one of more than 20 federally qualified community health centers in South Carolina. Community health centers are community-based, non-profit organizations that provide comprehensive and high-quality health care in a culturally appropriate manner. They also offer on-site pharmacies, telehealth visits for established patients, and a Mobile Medical Unit that brings health care into the community.
