Carolina Health Centers was proud to participate in Costa Layman Farm's Annual Migrant Health Fair on Friday, July 10, 2026.Representing CHC at the event were Pam Battle, Jennifer Kelley, and Laura McClain, who partnered with Costa Layman Farm and Augusta University to help connect migrant workers with important healthcare resources. The annual health fair, sponsored by the farm and Augusta University—both valued CHC partners—provided an opportunity to reach members of the agricultural community with information about the services available through Carolina Health Centers.Throughout the event, our team shared information about CHC's locations, healthcare services, and resources, helping ensure that migrant workers know where they can access quality, affordable care when they need it.We are grateful to Pam, Jennifer, and Laura for representing Carolina Health Centers and for their continued commitment to serving our communities through outreach and education.
Carolina Health Centers continues to strengthen its commitment to improving the health and well-being of our communities through new programs, partnerships, and outreach efforts. Our Peer Support Specialist, Kristan McCrary, has been leading efforts for our Maternal Mental Health Hotline, providing support for women experiencing perinatal mental health conditions, including postpartum depression. Through the hotline, Kristan is available to assist CHC patients and community members, offering a direct point of contact for those seeking guidance, encouragement, and resources during the perinatal period.Kristan has also partnered with fellow Peer Support Specialist Steven Gause to launch a new All Recovery Meeting at The Bethany Center. Held twice each month, these meetings welcome individuals from all recovery backgrounds, providing a safe, supportive environment where participants can connect, share experiences, and encourage one another on their recovery journeys.
In addition, Kristan has joined Alejandra Perez and Maddie Barker in collaboration with United Way of Laurens County to offer free, confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing each month. Hosted at the United Way of Laurens County, this initiative increases access to important preventive health services while strengthening Carolina Health Centers' partnerships within the community. These initiatives reflect our ongoing mission to expand access to care, provide meaningful support, and build healthier communities through collaboration and compassionate service.
