In celebration of National Health Center Week (NHCW), Tandem Health proudly hosted its Annual Legislative Luncheon on Wednesday, August 6, with over 60 attendees, including national, state, and local leaders.
The luncheon served as a platform for Tandem Health to highlight its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare services to the Sumter community. It also offered a moment to reflect on recent accomplishments and share future initiatives aimed at further improving public health outcomes in the community.
Among the event's notable moments was the official Proclamation by the Mayor of Sumter, declaring the week of August 3 – 9 as National Health Center Week in Sumter. This acknowledgment reinforces the vital role that community health centers like Tandem Health play in promoting wellness and equity.
The event underscored the collaborative spirit between healthcare providers and government leaders in addressing the evolving health needs of the community. National Health Center Week is recognized annually to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s Community Health Centers. The luncheon was one of several events that Tandem Health hosted in the community during the week.
