CareSouth Carolina Hosts Open House for Administrative Offices in Society Hill

Society Hill, SC—CareSouth Carolina proudly hosted an open house event on Tuesday at the newly refurbished and renewed St. David’s Academy building, which now serves as the organization's Administrative Offices.
The historic St. David’s Academy, a treasured landmark in Society Hill, has been given new life as it houses over 70 administrative staff members.
Now the CareSouth Carolina Administrative Offices, this move allows the organization to streamline its operations and enhance the overall patient experience by freeing up space at its other facilities across the region. By relocating administrative services to this centralized location, CareSouth Carolina is better positioned to improve efficiency and support the needs of patients throughout its service area.
"Society Hill is the birthplace of CareSouth Carolina. It is where the organization was first organized. Being able to have such a historical building as the home of so many CareSouth administrative services is a return to our roots. We are thrilled to have such a beautiful building for our employees and the community,” said Ann Lewis, CEO of CareSouth Carolina.
The move is also a meaningful step for CareSouth Carolina in its continued dedication to the communities it serves. St. David’s Academy holds special significance as it is located in the same town where CareSouth Carolina was first organized. The new administrative facility represents a return to the organization’s foundational mission.
“We are very thankful the Town of Society Hill allowed us to revitalize the old St. David’s Academy and repurpose the building into our Administrative Offices. The building houses over 70 administrative staff. We are very proud to have a larger footprint in the town of Society Hill where CareSouth Carolina originated,” added Joe Bittle, CareSouth Carolina Chief of Community Health.
