SCPHCA Memorial Day Message

posted on Friday, May 27, 2016

On Monday, May 30, we recognize Memorial Day - a day in which we honor those who have given their lives for our country. We urge you to pause and take a moment to recognize those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Many of the employees and patients at the 21 Community Health Centers across South Carolina know people in uniform who have lost their lives.  And many more have family members in military services or are Veterans themselves. To all of you, and to your loved ones who are serving or who have served, we thank you for your courage and sacrifice.

The South Carolina Primary Health Care Association is a membership organization that represents South Carolina's community health centers, which are an integral part of the primary health care system in our state. The CHCs and the statewide Migrant health Program provide affordable, community-based, and coordinated preventive and primary health care services while reducing inappropriate emergency room usage, overall health care costs, racial and ethnic health disparities and other barriers to care.  To find a community health center near you, visit www.scphca.org or call 803-788-2778.
