Organizational Information:

Community Medicine Foundation has grown tremendously since its inception in 1992. Beginning with an administrator (Ernest Brown-current CEO), a finance director, a part-time physician, two nurses and a medical records clerk, the organization presently has over 60 employees. The current staff includes 6 physicians, 1 physician assistant, 1 family nurse practitioner, 1 Women's Health nurse practitioner, a midwife, 2 pharmacists, and a host of professional ancillary staff. Community Medicine Foundations first medical office was a space in the back of an old school building. Today the organization has a state of the art facility as its main site, North Central Family Medical Center, which was constructed in 2000. In an effort to achieve its mission of providing accessible health care and to help with cost, the organization now has 1 satellite office: the North Central Pediatric and Adolescent Center. Community Medicine Foundations Herlong Pediatric and Adolescent Site is a product of the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC). As a part of the Public Housing Primary Care (PHPC) Program, which is a Federal program created to provide residents of public housing with increased access to comprehensive primary health care services, the Boyd Hill Site will remain valuable to our organization and we will reopen it's doors in another capacity that will continue to serve the residents of the area with quality and accessible care. The Workman Street Site is currently an Administrative Site only. No doctors are located at this site.

Community Medicine Foundation, Inc. opened a new satellite office in Chester, SC on April 14, 2008, the new Chester Site is now readily available to serve the residents of Chester County and the surrounding areas. Take a look at our Photo/Video Gallery and see the grand opening for the new Chester site. COMMUNITY MEDICINE PHARMACY #2 IS NOW OPEN FOR SERVICE AT THE CHESTER SITE.

Despite the organizations steady growth, CMF has stayed the course and never strayed away from its responsibility to the medically underserved and its dedication to community based health care.
