The South Carolina Primary Health Care Association sponsors a statewide Human
Resource Network (HRN) to assist its member organizations with developing the
knowledge, expertise, skills, and resources necessary to build and maintain a
strong and effective workforce to support South Carolina’s primary care safety
net. The goals are to:
- Enhance individual
expertise through shared knowledge and resources;
- Develop respect for
Human Resource (HR) professionals as critical business partners in health
center management;
- Support and promote
health center growth through effective workforce development;
- Serve as a clearinghouse
(and ensure validity) of information, tools and resources;
- Develop benchmarks for
measuring organizational performance related to human resource management;
- Promote state, regional
and national recognition of community health center HR professionals; and
- Provide HR professionals
with a network of support.
At the monthly meetings of
the HRN, human resource professionals from across the state have the opportunity
to participate in educational programs, share best practices, and work
collaboratively on key strategic issues affecting the health center workforce.
