The SCPHCA, in collaboration with DHEC's Office of Public Health Preparedness, facilitated
several individualized trainings and a statewide Bioterrorism Preparedness
Training for community health centers. The Bioterrorism subcommittee was initiated to
assist the centers in the development and enhancement of their Emergency
Preparedness Policy and Procedures, which would be inclusive of Bioterrorism.
This forum allows the centers to discuss barriers and successes in regards to
collaboration with local agencies, to ensure the centers involvement in local
Bioterrorism planning.
The South Carolina Primary Health Care Association is committed to supporting the
efforts of South Carolina community health centers in providing the highest
quality of care to the patients they serve. The SCPHCA offers many support services,
including training sessions and conferences, telephone assistance, educational
programs, and publications.
